Recipe for Sausages in Redcurrent Jelly and Mustard

 

Sausages in Redcurrant Jelly and Mustard

Serves 2 generously
• 1lb of sausages
• 2 tablespoons of redcurrant jelly
• 1 tablespoon of wholegrain mustard

 
     
 

Very simple and delicious, with a yummy sauce left in the pan to pour over the sausages before you eat them.

Turn the oven onto 180° C, 350°F, Gas mark 4.

Put the sausages in a pan, as squashed up together as you can get them. Mush half of the jelly and half of the mustard onto them and put them into the oven for 20 minutes. Then turn them all over and put the other half of the jelly and mustard onto them.

Put them back into the oven for another 20 minutes and serve with the sauce on top.

Very good with mashed potato and peas, (or with Smiley faces for the children!)
